173. Prosaic and a little Poetic © Hélène Levasseur

HELENE LEVASSEUR

Helene has the style or diction of prose in her compositions
When reading all her poems we see she lacks poetic beauty
She however believes prosaic language can convey her experiences
Following being a survivor of a Severe Brain Injury and  Metastatic Cancers

Some have proclaimed that her poems are like fridge magnets
Ordinary, everyday, commonplace, conventional, routine
Run of the mill, straightforward, by the numbers and like workadays
She however believes that she is interesting, imaginative and inspirational

Hélène realizes that she has been preoccupied by prosaic day to day concerns
So commonplace and has faced being  challenged becoming unromantic
It is her goal to manifest into one of the most popular Brain Injury and Cancer Poets
O.K. I guess the News about her will be the popular Brain Injury and Cancer Prosaic writer.

News of 2016: Hélène is to become an acknowledged Writer with Prosaic Poetry

146. Poetic Justice Invitation © Hélène Levasseur

Helene at Poetic Justice
Imagine receiving a Poetic Justice Invitation
To recite her masterpieces with inspiration
This has given Hélène so much of a glamor fascination
Hey she’s featured to receive maybe a standing ovation

I hear her saying:
Oh me! Oh me oh my! Silly Willy me, myself and I
Sometimes I think of being yummy as a pie
Poetically revered as a rhyming queen so high
Must release my ego bubble and let it fly to the sky

Well she has been writing autobiographical poetry for years
Reviewing all the poems brings her some kind of tears
Hope you don’t fall into her unwordly spells of fears
Please bring back confidence because you are her  dears

So on your mark. Get set. Move forth Hélène. Go with the flow
Relax. Repose. Let it all come out naturally. Wear your bow
You were meant to perform like you were on a ritzsy show
Have fun right now. Come alive.
Sing “Everything Matters” with pizazz and glow!

90. Silly Night © Hélène Levasseur

 HELENE IN MID NIGHT

GOT AWAKENED FROM THE RAYS OF THE MOONLIGHT
CAME DOWNSTAIRS TO RID ME OF A RAY-FIGHT
REALIZED THEN THAT IT WAS ALREADY MIDNIGHT
A TIME TO READ AND STUDY ON THIS WEARY NIGHT

I’VE ALWAYS BEEN SOMEWHAT COOL AND BRIGHT
BUT COULDN’T SNAP OUT OF THE NIGHT’S INSIGHT
THAT I WAS GOING TO WRITE A PLAY OVERNIGHT
AND HELP A READER WHO NEEDED TO BE SET RIGHT

I BEGAN TO WRITE ABOUT ME AND MY PLIGHT
AND REALIZED THAT I WAS SETTING A FORE-SIGHT
KNOWING THAT THIS WAS GOING TO BE A FLY-BY-NIGHT
SO I WENT BACK TO BED AND SLEPT ALL-RIGHT.
